There are a few things I always try to do when space planning furniture. Here are my five favorites.
#1 A Super Comfy Sectional. I always try to make this happen in a family room. This is the place to snuggle up for a movie with lots of fluffy pillows. image via amber interiors
#2 Four Chairs Around a Table. Weather it’s for a Living Room, Outdoor Fire or Sitting Room I love this arrangement. image via elegant adobe
#3 Corner Swing. This is always fun in a teen bedroom or beach living toom. I’m a sucker for a rattan swing. via one kings lane
#4 Two Cuddle Chairs Facing. This is my favorite in a master bedroom or sitting room off the kitchen. It promotes relaxing with your coffee while waking up. It calls for putting up your feet to get lost in a book. image via calling it home.
#5 Double Twin Beds. In a child’s bedroom there is nothing I love more than double twin beds. If I see a double twin bedroom on Pinterest I almost always pin it. image via amber interiors
Is your stoop looking a little bare? Are you stuck on what to do? Well fret no more. I think you just need a little inspiration. Here are five ways to take that front stoop from bland to bold. After all we don’t want your visitors to be bored while they wait for you to open the door. Here’s how to start your welcome vibe off on the right foot.
# 1 Create Layers. Instead of purchasing several small pots think big in one area. Pick a corner or side of the stoop and create a layered look with high, low and medium size pots. Add colorful plants and viola!

#2 Frame the door. Some homes call for symmetry. Simply framing the door with two pots or baskets can be all your porch needs. via homedit
#3 Make the arrangement full. Sometimes more is really more. I love hiding plastic pots that are not so pretty by adding lots of drippy plants. This look also works nicely with an urn style pot.

Every home should have a cozy corner. You know the one you curl up in with a cup of coffee and a good book. The key is to start with a comfortable chair. I usually look for options that have a firm seat cushion and a soft pillow back. Then add an accent pillow, table and chic lamp. If there is a wall behind your cozy corner find the right art that makes you feel calm. Photos of fun moments with family are also a bonus. Here is a little inspiration to help you add this little retreat to your home.
