Here’s a simple way to add a geometric design to a headboard for $2! (In my case I already had side boards from an old Ikea shelf that I used as the headboard base). But in your case you may already have a plain headboard OR you can find boards at a hardware store OR you can get creative with materials you already have in your house. I found some rolls of contact paper at the 99 cent store (score!).
Then I googled “geometric pattern” to find a pattern I liked. Once you have an idea of what you want, study the pattern and figure out how it will fit right on your board…. warning: you may need to break out some math skills which I know for me was scary. But if I can do it, anyone can! I found out that with the shape I wanted, I only need to use one template which was handy. Then you are just tracing and cutting, tracing and cutting until you have enough. Finally you peel and stick until your pattern is complete.
Have you ever given your home a “boost” with decals or contact paper?
