Voila! My felt flower door wreath with inspiration from blogs here and there. Awhile back I passed along this sweet spring wreath idea from Yellow Brick Home… I was inspired to use similar felt flowers. If you’ve never made felt flowers before or if you just need a refresher like I did, you can get a tutorial here from Do More With Less, it’s super easy! I also used an idea I saw on pinterest from The Art of Doing Stuff… to use a pool noodle for the base of the wreath. (Side note: I didn’t add a wooden dowel or glue like she did on her tutorial. I just duct taped it together and it seemed to hold just fine.) For the magenta color, I had a big piece of fabric that I ripped into about 3″ strips and then wrapped the strips around the wreath and stapled the end of the last piece to the foam. Next, I hot glued the felt flowers. For the finishing touch, I cut leaves from the pages an old thrifted book and hot glued them on the wreath, tucked into the flowers. This project seriously took me about 30 minutes and I was happy how it really brightens up our door!
