Get the Look :: Beachy Chandelier
This beachy bohemian capiz shell chandelier from Lonny Mag screams light and airy summer breeze….
Get the look here with a step by step to a wax paper capiz shell chandelier.
Have you ever tried to make a DIY chandelier? I have, and I can tell you it was a challenge! My main issue was getting it balanced correctly over the light bulb. This DIY chandelier is brilliant in that, it solves the balance problem by using a hanging fruit basket, so that the structure is already in balance. I think the white wax paper capiz shell around the light are both elegant and thrifty. If you have an old fruit or plant basket lying around or if you want to bring in the spring via an airy fixture, this may be a DIY to try!

I actually tried making this very same chandelier and it worked! I think I saw a version on design*sponge. I used a hanging plant basket. It was very simple and once I had all the supplies it took me about 1hr to make it. Thanks for another great post Lacey! Xo – Annie
