This weekend I finally got my office set up in our new casa. I decided to fill a niche we have in a sitting room off the kitchen with my desk. I prefer to work where the action is in the house instead of being tucked in an office with closed doors. This way I can keep an eye out the backyard window when little ones are playing or stir dinner if need be. Plus I get a fireplace in my office what is better than that?! Here’s a look at where I get creative…..
My favorite thing about the space is the gallery wall. I mixed the Warhol prints I have had since I was in middle school with my Grandmothers art I inherited. The “hello darling” print I made by enlarging my Grandfathers hand written note. Of course every gallery wall needs some kind of deer antler…eventually I would like to add some garland to mine. I went with an all white desk look from Ikea and styled things up a bit with and Eames shell chair.
I love a vision board to give me little life reminders. I hung some of my favorite photos and quotes to give the workspace a positive vibe.
Just around the corner is my favorite framed photo by Christian Chaize.
I’m big into screen wallpapers and here is my latest download to remind me “just give it all you got”. I found this on the super creative blog Design Love Fest!
So there you have it this is where I sit with my coffee to blog each morning before diving into my latest design!
