How awesome are these engineered prints?! At first glance I would have thought they were taken with a pro camera and printed using the best photo printer. Guess what? They were taken on a basic camera and then printed on a plotter. A plotter is what designers use to print their architectural or CAD drawings on. This can be done at your local Fedex store and at a very thrifty price. The trick is to crop them in an artsy way ( like the photos below). Then turn them into black and whites before printing. See the full tutorial via the blog Chris Love Julia.

One of my favorite blogs is Wit & Delight. If you don’t have Kate Arends on your instagram feed yet stop what your doing and add her. I have been thinking about the boring beige carpet on my stairs for a long time. I want to give them an update with wood and a runner. I was so excited to see this idea to take mix and match vintage rugs and turn them into a stair runner. It’s brilliant! I instantly pinned this to my hidden home Pinterest board to create my dream stairs someday. The vintage runner on these craftsman stairs is so dreamy. The mix and match of vintage rugs really creates a cozy and worldly vibe. See the full tutorial via Wit & Delight.

I’m always looking for ways to make my outdoor space a bit more festive come Fourth of July weekend. I love this idea via Martha Stewart to take red and blue striped fouta towels to make bolster pillows. Simply use an existing bolster pillow or purchase an insert at your local fabric store. Tie the towel around the bolster with fringes on the ends for a patriotic style pillow. When your done using it as a pillow you can take the towel to to the beach, pool or use as a tablecloth. Search for affordable fouta towels on Etsy.com.

I love a bohemian style space, but sometimes it feels a little too rustic for me. I have a preppy side to me as well. This home tour on one of my favorite blogs Cocoa + Kelly shows a perfect balance of polished boheme. I’m feeling so inspired by the mix of French chinoiserie meets Morrocan textiles. It certainly hasn’t helped my obsession with blue either. Here is a peek at some lovely rooms from the home. Visit Cocoa + Kelly to see the full tour you won’t want to miss.
