Less than a 2 hour drive from Geneva in the Swiss Alps you will find this renovated Chalet in Gryon, Switzerland. At one time it was a run down log cabin, now it’s an escape used by vacationers from around the world thanks to the new life given to it by swiss architect Lacroix Chessex.
Now the Chalet Noisettes features a new and modern five bedrooms, two bathrooms and simple yet natural design to incorporate the surrounding natural environment. A huge common area for gathering of up to 8 guests including heated floors, log fireplace and of course an amazing balcony with some of the best mountain views you can find.
During the winter months as you can imagine, the Villars / Gryon area is an international ski attraction with plenty of snow and over 220 kms of skiing at your doorstep and even the Diableret Glacier and other ski slopes for those wanting some ski variety.
In the summer you can enjoy hiking trails, mountain bike trails, golf, fishing and amazing day trips including the “Swiss Rivera” found on nearby Lake Geneva. The Chateau de Chillon Castle built sometime during the Bronze Age is a must see where now it serves as a wine making spot for the adjacent Badoux Winery.
Depending on the season and curent exchange rates you and 6 to 8 of your favorite friends and family could enjoy this unique property for around $1,300 – 3,800 per week. Don’t forget – kids under 9 ski free !
