Sneak Peek :: Marina Del Rey Studio

The latest design sneak peek is a studio in Marina Del Rey. The mission was to create a beachy style pad that also functions for doing voice over work. The client Sonny is a ┬ávoice talent out of her home and having a sound booth is crucial. However sound booths are not beachy. I solved this design dilemma by adding a white linen curtain concealing this dark mass in the room. The curtain will add a soft calming style while lightening things up. Storage is always important in a small space, so I selected furniture that works double duty for storage. I finished the studio off with West Coast style art and accessories. All in all it’s a relaxing environment for her and her adorable mini doodle top play and work in. Here is the sneak peek…

  1. Annie!
I’m having a ball selecting my pieces you selected for me! I really think you found the best way to utilize the space for my work — and — my enjoyment living here. I already have my “tech” lined-up to install the drapery to conceal the sound booth. My items should start arriving next week. You had some great “pointers” regarding alternative retail sources; like that one-of-a-kind bookcase you found on One Kings Lane. I also appreciate how you knew I’d like plush under my feet in the bdrm — but that the Dash and Albert striped wovens are “the way to go” to keep current. Can’t wait for that new line of linens from Pottery Barn — Terrific! I will send you snapshots when I get the design implemented. And I can’t wait to bring out of storage my beach decor stuff from my island living in Texas — like my spiny starfish and the custom ceramics from local artists there.

It’s gonna be GREAT! Your design helped me additionally realize just how much I value living by WATER!

    Your forever Pisces client,
