Sneak Peek :: MyDIAB Brooklyn Playroom

It’s so fun to get return clients. Especially, when they need a playroom design. I had so much fun designing this playroom in Brooklyn. The home is a 100 year old Victorian that we decided to give a modern twist. My client had the wonderful idea to create “play zones”. We did just that by creating a lounge and play, book nook, art studio, gallery, dress up and block play zones. I was so happy with the results and I want to come over and play sometime.  Here is how it turned out. See the full sneak peek and more on the Decorator in a Box portfolio page.

This is the lounge area in the center of the space. The rug anchors this area and brings in color. I left the floor mainly open for playing and sliding down the slide. The parents can sit in the modern French chairs while the kids swing on the others.

They had two closets to work with….so we decided to turn one of them into a book nook. The other closet is for toys and improv puppet shows.
