Often times when you update your home it makes other rooms look more out of date. It can be a domino. This can be frustrating when you invested a lot of money in furniture and now it doesn’t match the rest of the home. Often times you can keep the large pieces like your sofa and coffee table. Then just update the art, pillows and key accessories. This was the case with the recent Den update in New York. By changing the rug, pillows, art and built-in accessories we made this room match the updated Kitchen. No need to reupholster that sofa when pillows are so powerful. Here is a little peek at the design. Of course all design details and shopping list are for the client.
Do you have a room that needs an update? Let’s take a look and come up with a plan that meets your needs. With a custom Decorator in a Box I can mail you a design that meets your style and budget.
Oh Pinterest you are such a magical unicorn. I don’t know how I ever lived without you? I can’t believe I use to thumb through magazines. You bring me the perfect blend of style inspiration meets cute kiddo crafty ideas. I will admit I pin a lot of things I will never make or purchase, but it’s still fun to save it to a board. Here’s what I’m pinning this morning. Happy hump day all!

Pin #2 – Cute kiddo clothes. I just discovered this sweet store Darling Clementine. I like the simple Scandinavian style they have.

My client just emailed me photos of their Decorator in a Box bathroom complete! That Carrara arabesque tile shower wall has me doing a happy dance. It’s always exciting to see projects go from the Decorator in a Box design boards, shopping list and tile diagrams to reality. A huge round of applause goes to my client for the implementation with their contractor. A bath remodel is no easy task, but with a custom Decorator in a Box it sure helps a lot. Now this bathroom is looking much more New York City style worthy. Where should I send your custom design? Let’s start your design today!

Oh how I love getting to design a beach house. What I love more than creating the design is seeing it come to life. My client just sent me the photos of this Decorator in a Box Hampton Beach House they completed. It’s always wonderful to see their shopping list, boards and furniture plan come to life. My favorite part of this design is the art and accessories. These are the key details that give the beach vibe. This client completed this room in about 4 weeks from the time they received their Decorator in a Box. That’s how easy the process is. I create the design and email you the box. You get to work shopping and setting up. Now does this home look ready for sandy toes or what?!

I’m taking a moment from working on designs to dream about this Laundry Room. I wish it were all mine. The herringbone slate tile + shiplap walls + industrial lights has me ready to rip out everything that screams 1980’s in my current laundry room. Alright, back to designing I just wanted to peek in and say hello.
Let’s make your laundry a happier place to be with a custom Decorator in a Box.

Are you an aspiring IKEA hacker? I admit I have yet to attempt one. My DIY Pinterest board is full of ideas more ambitious than I am. Now that I stumbled on these overlays designed specifically for IKEA transformations I’m feeling inspired to get handy. Just look how a simple overlay can take a RAST chest and turn it into something so chic. Visit My O’verlay website before your next trip to IKEA. Here’s are some of my favorite O’verlay ideas.

I thought I would take a peek up from my desk to share a recent Hamptons Beach House project. I had so much fun creating an e-design for this return Decorator in a Box client. The mission was to create a beachy vibe for the whole family and visiting friends. I think this design achieves all of that and still meets their budget! Looks like they are in for a fun Summer. Pass the margarita’s!
