Travel :: Decorating with Handcrafted Momentos

Will you be packing up and heading out for a vacation in the next few months? When you do, make sure to bring home some memories to add to your decor. Skip the gift shop, all you need are a few brochures, napkins, maps, photos, whatever you might grab as momentos of your getaway. Below are a few inspirations to create your own souvenirs that will remind you of your fun travel adventures when you are back to the daily grind.

Design Sponge highlighted the art of Francesca Pasini who wrote Regina Spektor’s lyrics into a NY map aka “Reginapolis” which I think is clever and turned out beautifully. Another idea would be to record travel memories in a similar way onto a map from your destination.
